Evaluation
I decided to do my evaluation by using a Flip Video because this shows that i am able to use a wider range of technology. I split it into multiple clips so that if i made a mistake i would not have to start the whole thing over again.

Final Designs!
I have made small tweaks to my designs to make them look more professional and effective. For instance, on my front page i have changed 'new this week' to the caption; A world of music. I have also edited the coverlines to focus on a wider variety of bands. On my contents page i have used a smaller font and written more in the editors note to focus on the wide range of articles included in the magazine. I also changed the font of 'contents' because i thought the other one was too similar to my unique font for the magazine title.

The Final Touches
After receiving feedback i decided to make some of my photos look more professional by editing out some of the background.
For example, here is one of my images that i used on my front page and contents page (bottom)
I then used Gimp to select, sample colour, paint over the marks, and smudge in the edges to make it look natural. (Top) i think the overall effect looks much more professional and more effective.
Final Evaluation Planning
For my final evaluation i intend to use a flip video recorder to record myself speaking about my work. This is because i want to show that i understand and am able to use new technology for good effect. I will record the video in the next week.

The Treatment
Target readership: Jammin is a brand new, upcoming magazine which aims to target teenagers between the ages of 16 and 21 who are interested in indie / rock music. Although the magazine is specifically aimed at 16-21 year olds, it may be read by those of a different age if they have a particular passion for this style of music. The magazine contains many interesting photos and articles that are specifically suited to this target audience – the photos are all of young people and the language is not too formal. The average Jammin reader may have to rely on their parents finance to afford the magazine, or indeed may have a part time job and thus be able to afford it themselves. The average Jammin reader is confident, with a quirky indie style who likes the sound of acoustic and electric guitar. They are also independent and hardworking.
Form and style: Jammin is an A4 full colour magazine which contains celebrity news, new and exciting music features, and free posters, interviews with bands and news and reviews. It contains many pictures of bands, places and people which specifically aim at the target audience. The colour scheme is typically red, black and white as this reflects the indie/rock scene. Typically the magazine models will be famous musicians and these will usually feature on the front page to attract readers – such as Liam Evans from the band ‘Scum Of Earth’. There are many images and coverlines on the front page, again this is to attract readers with exciting news and features. The magazine will be sold at £2.75 in retail, as this would be affordable to teenagers. It is also good value for money because you get loads of exciting gossip about new and upcoming bands, and free posters of your favourite musicians. Jammin is a monthly magazine so £2.75 is definitely very affordable.
Themes and typical features: Jammin will have many regular features that will include: news, reviews, free posters, interviews with bands/musicians, gig dates, etc. It will also include spontaneous articles such as descriptions of recent tours, or new and upcoming bands that are rumoured to be set to be famous. The language used will be familiar to the audience, so that they feel comfortable reading it. As well as hot gossip from the indie music world, the magazine will try and include reviews of recent gigs, tours, stadiums, etc so that the readers will be aware of the best nights out.
Potential Advertisers: A range of advertisers will feature in the magazine each month, particularly those related to indie music and indie style, such as Punkyfish Clothing, MTV, O2 arena, Animal Clothing, Etnies Clothing, HMV, and Rollersnakes clothing.
Editorial team: The editorial team for Jammin will be made up of experience writers who are knowledgeable of this genre of music. The majority of the editorial team will typically be around the age of 25, fresh from university, and generally male, although females passionate about this genre of music will also be welcomed. The aim of the team is to bring in fresh ideas about indie music but with the support of experienced writers behind it.

Target Audience Feedback
In this post i am asking my target audience (teenagers aged 16-21) to comment on my work so that i have sufficient feedback for my final evaluation. Please comment on what you like, dislike, think could be improved, is the most / least effective, etc.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Double page spread second draft
After getting some feedback from my target audience, i realised that a few of my questions on the interview were a little repetitive. Also there were a few gaps in the text which made it look awkward. In this second draft i have altered the questions slightly and fixed any gaps in the text. I am much happier with this draft.
